There’s only one way to ensure thoroughness in any contract cleaning operation, and that is to be methodical. The alternative – a haphazard, ad hoc sort of arrangement – leads to items being overlooked and tasks being ignored, and it doesn’t take too long before the whole object of cleaning is defeated. Master Cleaners’ attention to detail is probably what we are most renowned for among London cleaning service contractors.
Our unique 75-point check list
If 75 points sounds a lot of things to work through, we’re forced to ask which items on the check list should be dropped. Of course, thoroughness depends on every possible base being covered, and without such a comprehensive and rigorous procedure, we could not claim to be offering a complete cleaning service. The check list could be described as a benchmark on which we can fulfil our promises and be held to account. It is probably the very core of our service. The check list starts being used at the audit stage and continues throughout the life of the contract. Our clients might not be aware of the list’s existence, but they would certainly notice if we abandoned or curtailed it!
Our Cleaners
Reputations are important, as are relationships. We have built up a roster of trusted and experienced cleaners, many of whom have worked with us for years. It’s these relationships that allow us to go about our work confidently, and it is also useful in selecting certain cleaners with specific skills for the more specialist jobs we are asked to do. However, like all companies we need to keep bringing new blood into the operation, so you’ll be pleased to learn that we are as thorough in our selection process as we are with the cleaning itself. All new members of staff must go through an initial trial period, and they are trained and security vetted to make sure they meet our exacting standards before our clients set eyes on them.
Our Quality Control
Punctuality, convenience and price are important factors taken into account by our clients, and they are aspects we take very seriously. But in the office cleaning game, quality control is the key to whether we’re doing a good job or not. It’s the quality of our work that is the manifestation of our actions once our cleaners have left the building. If quality is taken for granted, it can start to slip. If it’s codified, specified and checked at every step, quality is more or less assured.
How We Assure Quality
Quality control starts with selection of staff. We prefer to use staff experienced in the demands of contract cleaning (be it in an office, a pub, a restaurant or any place of work) yet make sure they are made familiar with the specific needs of every job. Every cleaner has to start somewhere; that’s why we also have a training programme for those new to the business.
Once our audit is complete, we will know exactly what needs doing and the required frequency of each individual task. We will then spend time with the cleaner (and later, any replacement cleaners), detailing what needs doing and making sure it is understood.
Our cleaners are equipped with the very best cleaning equipment, and that includes chemicals and all other supplies. (We are also a wholesaler of such goods, and have a keen eye on what is the best on the market.) Sadly, many contract cleaners leave the acquisition of supplies to the cleaners themselves, which can lead to their getting the cheapest goods from discount stores. This is not Master Cleaners’ policy. We supply all their needs.
All cleaners are given a client-specific task completion booklet, which they work through methodically to ensure nothing is omitted; it also acts as a record for work done. At the end of each week, the booklet is checked by the client for approval. This leaves nothing to chance.
Master Cleaners believe that cleaning, when done properly, is a specialist job that requires training and dedication. Committed cleaners who have chosen it as a career deserve to be well paid and have good working conditions, and we ensure that this happens. As well as ensuring loyalty and quality, this also means that the best cleaners in London want to work for us, which of course feeds back into the company and the quality cycle. In addition, our clients like to see familiar faces – and it’s not unusual for our cleaners to be invited to the office Christmas party!

To back up our promise of excellence and thoroughness, we also make sure that all work we carry out is covered by a comprehensive insurance policy that covers not only public liability but also damage and loss.
